PCA History
- 1988 – North Main Street Church of God opens a preschool called North Main Preschool
- 1993 – North Main Christian School opens, beginning with Kindergarten and adding a subsequent grade each year
- The school outgrew the church; the church held a capital campaign to either build a school or purchase a building for the school
- 2002 – North Main Street Church of God purchased 199 Airport Road and renamed the school Penn Christian Academy
- The school went from Pre-K through 8th grade at this time
- 2005 – 6th, 7th, & 8th grades were closed due to low enrollment
- 2009 – PCA is dually accredited through Middle States Commission on Elementary Schools and The Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI)
- 2011 – PCA filed incorporation documents with the state of Pennsylvania and began the process of securing its own 501c3 with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as an auxiliary organization of North Main Street Church of God, changing its name to Penn Christian Academy of Butler County, Inc.
- 2012 – Science Lab and Tutoring Center added
- 2015 – Officially separated from North Main Street Church of God to become an independent, non-denominational Christian school; north campus preschool closed
- 2016 – First re-accreditation cycle through ACSI and Middle States Commission; added preschool to accreditation
- 2019 – Added 7th Grade as a part of the new Middle School program
- 2020 – Added 8th Grade as part of the new Middle School program
- 2023 – Re-accreditation through ACSI and Middle States Commission
